In an exciting and innovative partnership, we’ve joined forces with the MetFilm School to redefine the landscape of low-budget British filmmaking.
When we first partnered with MetFilm School, we knew we were taking a bold step—but we had no idea just how powerful this collaboration would become. What started as a shared vision to create industry-standard films on an indie budget has grown into a truly pioneering framework—one that not only brings brilliant stories to life, but also uplifts the next generation of filmmakers.
Our first joint project, The Captain, was more than a film. It was a proof of concept. A darkly comic tale following Fergus, a retired sea captain with a rebellious streak, the film was led by Hollywood legend Patrick Bergin (Sleeping with the Enemy, Patriot Games). Patrick brought such depth and character to the role, and his reflections on the project really affirmed the strength of our new model: “It was tremendous fun,” he said, “working with a great team” from MetFilm School.
What makes this collaboration special is how it creates genuine, career-making opportunities for emerging talent. MetFilm School graduates didn’t just assist—they stepped into major roles across the production. Co-producer Nico Augusto, a recent graduate, summed it up perfectly: “Working on The Captain was incredible. Most film school graduates don’t get the chance to work on a feature film straight out of university. To be part of the journey in such a key role was truly remarkable.”
We couldn’t agree more. This is exactly why we built this model: to create high-quality films, yes—but also to mentor, support and empower the next wave of creatives. And the results speak for themselves. The Captain has already scooped five awards on the festival circuit, including Best Film at both the British Independent Film Festival and the Made in Sussex Film Festival.
